The Fast Track Hat is incredibly quick and simple. Knit with no shaping, the crown is constructed in one easy finishing step. If you can knit and purl in the round, you can make this hat.
Wear it with the edge turned up, or slouch it off the back of your head. It’s a good thing this pattern works up so quickly - everyone will want one of these hats!
The pattern includes several possible variations for substituting other fun stitch patterns or adapting the concept to work for other head sizes and gauges.
The sample has a relaxed circumference of 19”, and it should comfortably fit heads up to 24” in circumference.
You will need:
- This pattern
- One ball of Lara
- 16" circular needles in size US 15 (10mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
- A spare needle in size US 15 (10mm) or US 13 (9mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
- One stitch marker
Gauge: 8 stitches x 15 rows = 4" x 4" over K1 P1 rib
