Shipping Policy Update from Mr. Mouse!


Hello!

Some of you may know that I work in a world of computers and numbers.  Well this week I put those computers to work, and the numbers aren't wrong.  Nobody in the history of Skein Shop has ever ended up paying for shipping within the US.

Now, I'm not going to lie, a couple of you tried to, but I sent each and every one of those special people an email letting them know that for the low, low price of free I would give them a skein of Peter Pan DK.  This yarn conveniently cost the same as our standard shipping and at the same time bumped their order into our '100g of goodness' (free) tier.  More yarn at no additional cost, what's not to like?

Well today all of that changes.  I'm not sending any more emails to persuade people to take free skeins of yarn off our hands.  It's not that I don't like you all, it's just that today we updated our policy.  Literally everything we sell domestically now ships free!

I'm going to be upfront with you, this is possibly a double-edged sword.  We actually do sell a few yarns where this will cause us to lose money, but that would require someone to purchase just one ball of some of our least expensive yarns.  Historically, that simply doesn't happen frequently enough to worry about.  

It's thanks to you wonderful, loyal customers that we feel comfortable putting this policy in place.  Together we can make beautiful things, like free shipping, a reality.
