Trenzado, which means twisted, is an exciting new yarn with an unusual twist. One ply is superwash, one ply is untreated wool, which yields some interesting characteristics. The two-tone, marled appearance is due to the fact that the superwashed wool takes the dye differently than the untreated. If you try to felt or full this yarn, the result is a nubbly texture as the untreated wool felts around the superwash. Round, bouncy, and playful, Trenzado is great for giving a textured appearance to simple stitches without being a highly textured yarn.
